The University of Strathclyde is close to George Square where the City Chambers are located and also near to Glasgow cathedral and Glasgow Green, where the People’s Palace can be found. The city is renowned for its Victorian architecture as well as the buildings of Charles Rennie Macintosh.
The conference site is therefore within walking distance of Glasgow’s two main railway stations, Queen Street Station and Central Station. The city centre is 20 minutes by bus from Glasgow airport and can also be reached by direct bus from Edinburgh airport.
The scenic mountains of Scotland are easily accessible from the city, either by train on the West Highland line or by car.
