The 2nd International Bunsen Discussion Meeting and Workshop provides a forum for open high-level discussion on the understanding of LII diagnostic and to foster relationships in joint research. The leading researchers, engineers, officials, and others are invited to attend and participate for a successful outcome of the workshop. In so doing, an opportunity to establish a central node for rapid exchange of ideas and results from many different areas associated with LII is given.
The 1st International Bunsen Discussion Meeting and Workshop was held in Duisburg, 2005. On this first meeting the most relevant differences in experimental approaches and data evaluation techniques were located, and strategies to smooth them out in future, discussed. A further Workshop provides the opportunity to compare the made progresses and indicates if the LII community has moved together.
