9th International Workshop on LII

The upcoming workshop will take place at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK on 12-15 June 2022.
Following a long series of previous workshops, this meeting is intended to bring together scientists from various research fields to discuss recent developments and future trends in LII and related fields. Laser-induced incandescence (LII) has become a mature diagnostic to characterize soot particles in combustion and exhaust gases. However, some sub-processes are still lacking detailed understanding, new application fields appear, applicability limits can be extended and new research questions arise. The workshop shall stimulate discussion between experts on the field, and encourage interactions between newcomers and those with long expertise both experimentally and theoretically. The biennial workshop follows the tradition of previous workshops:

Workshop timing:
Start time: Registration from 6.30pm on Sunday 12th June, followed by dinner.
End time: Last talk ends by 12.20pm on Wednesday 15th June with lunch ending by 13.20pm.

Language
The official language at the workshop is English.

Mobile phone use
When attending sessions, please turn off your mobile phone and communication devices, or use silent mode. If you must take a call, please step out of the room rather than disrupting the event. Thank you for your cooperation.

WIFI
The venue at Strathclyde provides free WIFI to all workshop participants. Arrangements will be announced on-site.

Insurance
The registration fee does not include the participant’s insurance against accidents, sickness, cancellation, theft, property damage or loss. Participants are advised to arrange adequate personal insurance.

Currency
The British currency is Pounds Sterling (GBP). Most hotels, restaurants and shops accept international credit cards.

Voltage
The UK operates on 230 Volts electricity and the sockets are Type G (BS 1363), which differs from most of the rest of Europe.
